There is ALWAYS a full-time, resident veterinarian ready to help. Whether it is a foaling emergency or a case of colic, time spent waiting is critical! Dr. James Bailey was born in Dickinson, North Dakota, and grew up on a cattle ranch and farming operation in Southern Minnesota. He attended the University of Minnesota for his B.S. and graduated from their College of Veterinary Medicine in 1977.
In 1980, after 3 years of practicing on the racetracks of Southern Florida, he began a private practice in Purcell, OK, and focused primarily on reproduction. Dr. Bailey is an avid Steer Roper, even qualifying for the National Finals Steer Roping. In the fall of 2000, Dr. Bailey opened Royal Vista Southwest.
Dr Ryan Coy was born in Hermiston, Oregon, where he nurtured a love for wildlife and the outdoors. Alaska captured his imagination and drew him to move and live in Soldotna and Valdez, AK while working in the commercial fishing and automotive industries. Dr. Coy relocated to Colorado and attend Colorado State University. During his undergraduate and graduate studies, he developed a passion for assisted equine reproduction. Upon completion of veterinary school he focused his career on equine reproduction, working at Royal Vista Equine. in Colorado before joining the team at Royal Vista Southwest. He enjoys community and the outdoors with his wife Wilma.
EMAIL Dr. CoyDr. Renae DelHomme grew up in Sugar Land, TX. She graduated in only three years with a B.S. in Animal Science from Oklahoma State University, and continued on at OSU to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. In 2011, Dr. DelHomme did a three week externship and completed a one year internship here at Royal Vista Southwest before she was hired on full time. She has a passion for reproduction and neonatal care. In the off-season, she enjoys riding and camping with her horses all over the country with her husband, three sons, and two step-daughters.

She attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University for her B.S. in Biology and graduated from Oklahoma State University with her D.V.M. in 2018. Brittany had always owned and ridden geldings, but developed a passion for equine reproduction during veterinary school. Her three week externship with Royal Vista Southwest reinforced her passion and Brittany was excited for the opportunity to accept an internship at Royal Vista Southwest. She enjoys team roping, fishing and spending time with family.
EMAIL Dr. StamperDr. Brian Schnell was born and raised in Valders, Wisconsin. He grew up working with cattle on dairy farms and spending time with the local large animal veterinarians. He attended the University of Wisconsin Madison for 3 years before being admitted into UW’s School of Veterinary Medicine. Upon graduation, he worked at an equine referral hospital in southern Oklahoma where he did emergency and reproductive work. His passion for equine reproduction then led him to Texas where he worked as a reproductive veterinarian managing a large number of recipient mares. After a few years in Texas, he found his way back to Oklahoma and joined the phenomenal team at Royal Vista Southwest. In his spare time Dr. Schnell enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors.
EMAIL Dr. SchnellDr. Nikki Collins grew up on a small horse farm in rural Chesapeake City, Maryland. During her undergraduate studies at University of Delaware, she worked at Select Breeders Services, where she developed an interest in equine reproduction. After graduating with her B.S. in Animal Science from UD, she attended Oklahoma State University and graduated with her DVM in 2020. During her time at OSU, she completed a 3-week externship with Royal Vista Southwest and always wanted to return. After veterinary school, Dr. Collins completed a 1-year internship at Weatherford Equine Medical Center in Weatherford, TX. She then moved back home to Maryland to work as an associate veterinarian with Select Breeders Services before moving to Oklahoma with her fiancé in the fall of 2022. Outside of work, Dr. Collins enjoys spending time with her two dogs, Rai and Conway, and exploring the red dirt country music scene with her husband.
